Auto insurance is a hit or miss conception with police enforcement doing the insurance company's work for them. Too many drivers have no insurance leaving responsible drivers to pick up their tab. Why don't we tack on 10 or twenty cents per gallon at the gasoline pump to go for insurance. If you don't buy gas for your car, you're not going to be able to drive.That way, if you drive, you automatically have insurance. This frees up police to do real cop work, cuts down on the cost and makes sure everyone who drives has insurance. Whadya think?

I have great products (on paper) that could be huge, but I don't know how to take the next real step. One thing I do know, is that you seldom START with a patent. Ideas can be legally protected with careful documentation until a full (or provisional) patent is obtained. Some of my ideas may or may not be patentable, but are certainly very marketable. Trying to pin down good information on this subject is very frustrating. Most services you find are only trying to sell you something (books, legal services, software, etc); some are somewhat helpful but don't quite offer the guidance you (I) need. I'd like to get these products in the real world and in the marketplace. But to do so, I need to know who to contact to "get the ball rolling." I'm not opposed to a colaboration with an agency or manufacturer as long as it's fair and NOT one of those TV shopping scams. Please help if you can.

In spite of my previous and rather pointless questions I actually wouldn't mind posing a serious one just to see your thoughts.
I'm getting married September 2nd, I lose my job at the end of July. I am currently £1600 overdrawn in my student account, £1100 overdrawn in my current account and I have student loan of around £9000, before my job ends I will get two more pay checks which will add up to just under £1800 after tax. My fiancee has just finished a three year university course so she also owes about £9000 to the Student Loans Company and is slightly overdrawn. I am returning to university next year to complete a 2 year follow on degree that is required to enter my chosen profession, architecture. My fiancee studied animal behaviour and wildlife biology, where voluntary work is all you can get at first. In addition to still having to pay for a number of things for the wedding, I have to book the honeymoon and find enough money for rent & deposit on a flat. Any suggestions?

Okay - I got laid off from a management position in the IT division of a large company several months ago. I worked my way up to a management position from a more hands-on technical spot. I do not have a college degree, although I am working on acquiring one. I find that my skills are very rusty for hands-on positions and that nobody is willing to look at me for management without a degree. I live in Southern California and my spouse is getting very frustrated with me being unemployed. Anybody have any suggestions? Or better yet, anybody know anyone who is hiring? LOL Thanks :)
