The usual catch attached to free offers is that they are collecting information which will be used for soliciting business.Info collected is used to generate spam and junk mail and often sold to companies involved in selling via call centres and a thousand other businesses.
Free goods and services offered are often genuine, but may carry with them an obligation to allow yourself to be further solicited by sales oriented techniques. If you do not mind that sort of thing, some companies will even pay you to assist them to collect info.

Yeah, here is a site that lists several free offers, some of them don't require a rebate and such. There was even an offer for a year's subscription to a magazine on there.

There is NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH!!!
Nothing is free. Read the small print! Click where it says "Terms and Conditions" and read carefully; click on "Privacy Policy" and read carefully.
Your link doesn't point to a car seat but to a plasma TV, by the way.
* This promotion is conducted exclusively by PlasmaTV4Free.co.uk and is subject to participation terms and conditions. Receipt of your item requires compliance with offer terms, including: age and residency requirements; registration with valid e-mail address, shipping address and contact phone number; completion of user survey and sponsor offers. Upon valid completion of all Program Requirements, we will ship your item to your provided shipping address. Unless otherwise indicated, participation eligibility is restricted to U.K. residents, 18 and over. Void where prohibited.
NOTE THAT IT IS ASKING YOU TO GIVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS and that you have to complete all 'Program Requirements' ... find out what that means before you say yes to anything!

I definitely think that all people should pursue these ads for free things. Most small internet companies still have millions of dollars and feel like doing philanthropic things like car giveaways with no strings attached. Doesn't everyone know that American business is what is best for the consumer; that whole stockholder thing is not important anymore.

Nothing is free on the marketplace. Trust me, they are getting something from you. Stay away from such offers if you do not want to get an email inbox full ofnjunk emails.
