I heard somewhere that some credit cards can damage your credit even if you pay on time and more than the minimum balance. Is this true? What kind of credit cards would be like this? Thanks for your help!

I live in Minnesota and I'm looking for a job this summer, however few people hire 14 year olds.

I'm hoping for a job somewhere other then a fast food place (McDonalds, Burger King) however, I realize that most jobs that don't involve flipping burgers aren't availible for people 14 years of age.

So far I've applied at the Carmike Theatre (just put in the application today)

Does anyone else have any other suggestions please?

Thanks!

I just bought a house and have gone through the whole process, I have been allotted 17k to use to rehab the house. I thought it needed a new roof but found out it was replaced 2 yrs ago , can I use the money allotted for the roof for other things on the property instead of putting the money back to debit the loan amount ? I mean I am going to make the payments it is my money , I have had to gut the bathroom and it cost more than I expected so I don't hjave neough left over for a new roof anyway.

I will be moving to Australia next year and plan to work for myself. Do you know of any books or websites that will help me get established? Are there any tax benefits when I travel to/from Australia for business? How about laws on importing and exporting alcoholic beverages. Any information will help.

My lease is up in a month and a half, and my building informed me that they decided not to renew my lease (we've had problems this past year and they hate me), so I found another apt. and I'm moving in this week. My question is, what would happen if I just left without paying this months rent. I know I would technically be evicted. They have $1,325 for my deposit, rent is $995 this month plus half months rent in August, and they would have to replace the carpet and a broken window. If I was evicted, I know I would not get any of my deposit back, but would they try to sue me if they needed more for the damages to the apt., or would they just take my deposit and be done with it. And, do evictions go on your credit, or when you try to get approved at a new apt. will that past eviction come up?

I have great culinary knowledge and I am going to school for food service management. I can't find a good job because I need a lot of flexibility right now while i'm in school. So I am thinking of starting my own business out of home by appointment only. This business would include me meeting with the client to show examples of food menus and meals with prices, teaching (at the client's home, in their kitchen) how to cook certain meals, possibly cooking meals for clients at their homes for small dinner parties or for their family. I already have a servesafe certificate, am a certified food handler in Los Angeles County where I will be working. What business licenses would i have to get and what else would i have to do to get this thing started?
