Also, you may want to focus on the specifics of the job. Ask them questions related to what they will be doing. Do they pay attention to details? Are they thorough with tasks? How do they handle pressure from others? An auditor has to be completely impartial to what they are doing, so these questions will let you know if they have the qualities of a good auditor. Someone that will find discrepancies and not be afraid to report them.

There are books at the library on interviewing and they break it down into sections by industry. You might try that; I have found them helpful.

Ask how much time it takes to audit , how many assistance you keep ;previous audit reports or their lists & charges.
