i think that once you are over school age -16yrs, you are classed as an adult in employment terms. aged 16 to 17 you are entitled to time off work for study, but from 18 that's it.
the european time directives state that the working week should not exceed 48hrs.
there are rules about daily breaks, shift work and night shifts - check out the website

At age 19, you are classed as an adult, so there is no age-related limit. However, the European working time directive only allows you to work an average of 48 hours per week, including study (if you are a student). If an employer asked you to work more than this they would be breaking the law. However, you can sign a declaration to say that you are willing to work more than this, and you are then free to work as many hours as you wish. No-one can make you sign this declaration, though, and the decision is purely yours.

An average of 48 hours per week, if you work 48 hours one week, then 17 then 22 etc then it averages out to less than 48 it's legal, but if you work 48 every week then the average is going to be over 48 hours and so illegal.
I think it's based on 3 months, can't remember exactly.

You can work any hours. There is no limit. I think the limit for when there is a limit(if you see what I mean) is 16, or maybe 18. But definitely no more than 18 so you can work as many hours as you like.

You can work up to 48 hours per week unless you sign a declaration that you do not wish for some european directive to be applied to you.
