I'm a professional musician. I was hired to play 5 nights a week at a swanky Palm Beach restaurant (Deco). The owner seemed very nice. After working there for 2 weeks he gave me a check made out to cash (which at first I didn't realize). I went to cash it and the bank told me there were insufficient funds. I went to the owner who said it was a mistake and I should try again in a couple of days and everything would be fine. I don't know why. maybe I'm an idiot but I believed him and kept working there. One night Governor Bush even came in. To make a long story short I worked there for a month and haven't been paid a dime. He owes me $2000. I looked into small claims court and it costs $200 to file and my friend told me it's hard to collect. Not only did I not get paid but I spent a couple of hundred on gas and turned down other jobs. Am I just screwed?

i want to ship furniture to other states. fedex and ups require shipping classes to give you rate quotes. you can get these i think by looking at the master freight table. my computer shows me a blank page when i go there. i had adobe 4.0 and upgraded to 6.0 yet nothing happens. any ideas?

Hello,

My Wife has been making clothes and selling them on ebay... well people are going nuts over them and she can barely keep up with the demand. We would like to take it to the next level and start a full fledged business. The main problem is being able to produce enough product to meet the demand.

What suggestions as far as starting business does anyone have?

I was thinking of patenting the designs and hiring a clothing manufacturing company to make the clothes but I dont know how much that would cost whether it would be economical to do this. Anyways any help or suggestions would be nice.

No working airconditioner.
Get paid the day after payday.
My managers are always late.
Slow business. Barely any customers.
Get paid minimum wage.
Dont have key to open store.
No set schedule every week.

PROS:

Get paid cash.
Get to have a tab.
Get to watch TV all day.
Cute boys come in sometimes.

My boyfriend has depression and used to be on Zoloft. I feel he should be on it again however his health insurance plan does not cover mental health services. It seems to be a good plan, what it does cover it covers very well, so I'm surprised it will not cover this. Is this typical?

People talk about things getting better, if they only had a chance to do something different, however, whenevr opportunity presents itself, a vast majority of individuals don't have enough courage to go against the crowd. Getting frustrated dealing with so many people. They all seem to have the same excuses for not making a decision, not showing up, etc.
