i want to ship furniture to other states. fedex and ups require shipping classes to give you rate quotes. you can get these i think by looking at the master freight table. my computer shows me a blank page when i go there. i had adobe 4.0 and upgraded to 6.0 yet nothing happens. any ideas?

The organization that determines freight classes is the National Motor Freight Traffic Association. You can order a NMFC guide at their website. http://www.nmfta.org/NatlMotorFreightClassification/tabid/110/Default.aspx
Michael T is an idiot. That is absolutely not how you determine freight classes.

The best option is probably Shippi.com. You don't need NMFC's with them, just shipping weight. Generally they ship anything over 50 lbs.for around 110-125 dollars depending on gas surcharges. All they need is the point of origin for the freight (zip code), the destinations zip code, weight, what the item is, is the item in a box, pallet, or crate. Whether or not it is going to a business or residence and if you need a lift-gate or not. You can book your shipment online and pay with PayPal.
