we had a handyman do some work on a house - replace sheetrock amd some plugs. he also did a bathroom addition with a plumbing permit but not electrical . We put in a vent fan and light switch without a permit. his crazy girlfriend says unless we pay her $600 by tomorrow she is going to the planning dept to report us. what should I do?
She just wants to extract money for herself. (drug addict I believe) They arent even together anymore. She says she knows incriminating evidence against the work done.. ( we cant figure out what she means exactly) Maybe the electrical? He in fact did some more work recently and always gets paid in cash.
She is a certified bi-polar on dope instead of her meds.
Just verified that. BTW this in a toen of less than 1500 citizens.

No shared rooms or apartments wanted. Prefer 1 bedroom, 1-1/2 bath (1 bath is ok) quiet area, and utility costs all included in the monthly rate.

We plan on getting married this summer but I am concerned about his debts. If he files for bankruptcy will this effect my credit? I plan on keeping my last name because we need my credit to remain uneffected. (But I'm not even sure if that makes a difference).

I was involved in an auto accident last October and have been released from the care of my doctors. I have all of the documentation that I need to submit to the insurance company, but I do not want to use an attorney. Do the insurance companies use a standard factor for determining the amount for pain and suffering?

I don't have any credit cards. Every type of credit that I had has gone to collections and has been bought and sold for the past 7-9 years. I messed up my credit in college without the knowlege of credit. I had a baby and never had enough money to pay anything outside of my household bills. New bills would come up and I couldn't afford to pay them. I have a repo on my credit. I have many medical bills and student loans. Nothing has gone off my credit and I never made enough money to pay extra bills. I can't even afford cable. Collectors keep pulling my report without my permission adding to the amount of inquiries and my student loans are about to default. What do I do?

A year ago I moved from a small, rural town to a larger metropolitan area for a job. However, my director from the old job emailed me to ask if I would be interested in coming back. She has offered me a promotion and $2 more per hour than I'm making now. The problem is I have met someone here who I love very deeply and I am really enjoying city life. Although, the town is only an hour and a half away, I'm not sure if I should take the job or stay where I am. What should I do?

The specific circumstances are: a wife sold her house to her husband for a small amount of money, but they both signed the sales paperwork as single people and she signed her maiden name. Is this fraud and who would this be reported to if so?
