I have reached the point where I must pay off all my debt, or at least most of it. It is hurting my business, and I feel like I constanly have a huge monkey on my back. If you haven't made a payment in so many years and get a credit report, do the charges drop after so many years? I went to this website and Ohio looks like the only one without an "amount of years" they can collect on a debt...does that meaan there isn't an SOL?

Or is it based on how long you suffered. 2 months lower back pain and theraphy also had to get a tens unit. The insurance campany already stated that they would cover it all due to the fact that the place where this happened they did not put up a sign of slick floor after they had sprayed lysol on the floor a few minutes before.

I've had a couple of old accounts go to collection agencies. The collection person told me, it was physically impossible for me to negotiate a deal with the original creditor because the collection agency now OWNS the debt.
