Intel's market share is still quite large but AMD has certainly pulled a coup. They have some significantly better products. The problem with very large companies is that they have so much inertia that sometimes they get outmanuvered.

I do not know whether Intel will regain their market share. Personally, I have not bought a computer in years with an Intel cpu. I am very happy with AMD. I suspect that I am not the only one.

Intel has not rolled over just yet. They just are not keeping up with the competition.

I've thought for a long time that Intel's price is locked in an artificial cycle, getting dropped down from time to time by bad reports so someone can buy it up at firesale prices. it's a good company.
