A money transfer how? Through Pay Pal? You won't be able to prove you have paid unless you send it in some way that the seller's name will be printed to the receipt or if you pay by credit card or check card through pay pal...the problem is if you agreed to pay through money transfer when you bid...did the auction state that that was how the money would change hands? If it was you are stuck paying that way or suffering the reporting. If it was not then you should report the seller...he is changing terms of the sale after the fact and he shouldn't. If no payment arrangement at all was listed then you have as much right as he to report or to demand to pay by check or in some other manner which will provide proof that he received payment.

Before you bought the item, did you check the auction listing how the seller wants to be paid? Or did you contact the seller beforehand how the seller wants to be paid?

If the seller made it clear and stated in their auction listing that payment is through money transfer and you're now backing out of the transaction, you risk negative feedback.

What sort of money transfer does he want - you should not use something like Western Union as you have no comeback if he cashes the WU order and does not send the item. How were you wanting to pay? If you offer to pay in a way he has said he will accept in his methods of payment section then you are safe - he has no grounds to report you. If you are wanting to pay by a method he does not accept, and you refuse to pay in an alternative way which he is happy with, then he is perfectly within his rights to report you

are his 3 feedback all positive, does he have any negatives, didn't you check things out before bidding, in auctions it is always buyer beware, you ahve put in a winning bid, and you are now contracteed to pay for it. Use some way of paying that allows you check on things. Paypal is best, if he doesn't send you the goods you will have comeback through them. Paypal is e bays official bank. If you don't pay you will get negative feedback, he can report you, and e bay can suspend your account.

Don't use a money transfer thing like western union it's a big scam.
You should be okay with a bank transfer, failing that see if he'd accept paypal, cheque or crossed postal order.

Open a PayPal account and use PayPal to pay him.

That is a little safer.

Good Luck
