Skin & Body - September 2007

I have always wanted a tattoo, the problem is, i travel a lot, globally, and having ink on my skin might be one of those things that could get me into trouble some places. I was considering instead, of getting a small either, brand, or scarification of some sort, whereas the design would just be a raised area of skin. It is a fairly simple and geometrical design that i want, and I'm making a model of it now, but It isn't nearly done yet (it's so simple, that it's hard to get it right- basically it's representing a mobius strip with just solid shapes... so it's just like 5 rounded shapes near eachother and it looks like a mobius strip). I figure if someone does notice it, I could always pass it off as an accidental scar or something. I don't mind pain too much, but what I want to know is this: is there anyone near the twin cities (MN) that does this sort of body art?

Don't worry! I'm not getting inked for another three months. I'd just like to toss some ideas around. I'm thinking of getting either ON a shoulder blade or in between my shoulders. Here are some things I'm thinking of-- feed back?

Does anyone have any french/italian/latin idioms that have a powerful meaning? Things most important in my life are passion for living life to the fullest, my husband, and my family.
I want to have lots of options and really think it through before I get it permanantly on my body.
Also I lost my father in March. I don't want his face on my shoulder or his name on my wrist. Something subtle. General ideas on remembering loved ones in tattoos? I know you didn't KNOW my dad specifically- but any ideas are welcome. Thanks!

I don't want to use an intense or expensive cleanser, but how can I totally get rid of my acne? I don't get zits, but I have pimples and blackheads all over my face, not on my forehead. i have oily skin, please, a fast and clearing remide!!

i got my left ear pierced a second time on the earlobe right next to my first piercing (i have three piercings all together) a few months ago and it really hurts. i kept it clean and twisted it and i dont think its infected. is there anything i can do ?

i dont have red acne but my skin looks really oily and greasy especially on my forehead, nose and chin. i use an apricot scrub. and dont suggest proactive (it doesnt work on my face) so deos anyone have any good suggestions please.

During the school year i usually only used to get a pimple here and there once in a while, but over the summer my whole face broke out, and now i break out everyweek. Everyweek i get a new pimple somewhere else, sometimes i even get 3 or 2 pimples at a time while i still have other pimples going away from the past week. What can i do to stop this? I cut down on eating greasy foods like fries, bacon and mayonnaise, and i started going to get facials. Is it my hormones that are causing this?

Im 15 btw

I have really small hands and my fingers are short and fat. Its not because im fat or anything i think theyre just big boned =S

I don't pick at my pimples, but I put acne treatment cream with saliyic acid 2% in it. The pimple goes down and forms a white head, which then I pop it, because I've been told you can do this when it forms the white head, and it looks disgusting to have a white headed zit for everyone to see. Well, after that, mine ALWAYS scab up and leave scars! What can I do?

I just bought the Nozema deep Cleansing Cream. I use it twice a day. In the morning when I wash my face for work and in the night when i take a shower. I wash my face with hot water before putting it on. I wash it with cold to rinse it off. I wanted to unclogged my pores. how long before I see results? it really tingles when i use it. Also i heard mixing it with epsom salt makes it work better. does it?

(I'm a female) I'll like to start off telling, I have a bump on my nose that's only viewable from the right side of my face. When I ask people what ressemblance I have with my dad, they tell me "your nose". I've been told by many people that I'm beautiful, but I don't think I'm all that. (I have cat eyes and silky long hair, maybe that drags the attention.)
When I look at the right side of my face in the mirror, it doesn't look bad, I don't notice the bump that much. But when I take pic from that angle, it mostly looks awful to me (except in one or 2 pics). Or even in a video, *sometimes* that side looks bad to me, Why?!
Some people don't look diff in pictures (like Utada Hikaru? or maybe celebrities just wear too much make-up to look photogenic), but why do some do look diff?

Is it possible to remove part of a tattoo while still keeping another part intact?
I have a 4" tattoo on my arm and am in the process of making a few consultations to get the bottom portion of it removed (lower half was poorly done by a different artist than the top half) - will they be able to isolate a specific area to be removed without ruining the top?

i personally have been avoiding tattooing my lower back because of the certain trend going, but my father recently died and i could think of no better place to put a memorial tattoo for him than on my lower back below my wings.

i thought it would just add to the meaningfullness of it to have it below them. pretty much ive decided im getting it there, im just curious of peoples reactions, if you saw a very obvious memorial tattoo (a national symbol with a name above and dates below) on someones lower back, would you think it was a "tramp stamp" like i said ive already decided im going to place it there just curious of peoples reactions and thoughts.
