I don't pick at my pimples, but I put acne treatment cream with saliyic acid 2% in it. The pimple goes down and forms a white head, which then I pop it, because I've been told you can do this when it forms the white head, and it looks disgusting to have a white headed zit for everyone to see. Well, after that, mine ALWAYS scab up and leave scars! What can I do?

Here's an excellent article about the best way to pop a pimple: http://www.ehow.com/how_2046889_pop-pimple.html

The key is to open the pore w/ a warm compress first. Stop pressing before the zit starts to bleed.

Desert Essence Blemish Stick is my favorite spot treatment; it has tea tree oil & helps speed up the healing process. Neosporin is good too but it is a bit oily.

Instead of squeezing the whiteheads, consider regular steam facials to clean out your pores. Here's how to DIY: http://www.ehow.com/how_2564_give-yourself-facial.html

My favorite masks are Beauty w/o Cruelty's clay mask & Origin's charcoal mask.

Go visit a dermatologist but if you can't right now try this:

Use a hot compress on it (a washcloth, sponge, or anything that will allow you to apply moist heat to the area), and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, rinse it with warm water, blot off the excess water with a clean towel, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

This is what I answered before and I got best answer.
