I have always wanted a tattoo, the problem is, i travel a lot, globally, and having ink on my skin might be one of those things that could get me into trouble some places. I was considering instead, of getting a small either, brand, or scarification of some sort, whereas the design would just be a raised area of skin. It is a fairly simple and geometrical design that i want, and I'm making a model of it now, but It isn't nearly done yet (it's so simple, that it's hard to get it right- basically it's representing a mobius strip with just solid shapes... so it's just like 5 rounded shapes near eachother and it looks like a mobius strip). I figure if someone does notice it, I could always pass it off as an accidental scar or something. I don't mind pain too much, but what I want to know is this: is there anyone near the twin cities (MN) that does this sort of body art?

I know a guy who has 3 body scarifications. One is a grenade on his chest kinda like the green day logo. The other 2 are symbols that means something to him. He has piercing and tattoos as well. I'm into body art like tattoos and some piercings, but scarification is just too much for me. I don't like them, I don't mind them on people thought. It's interesting.

Sounds like a nice design!

I only know people near Philly that can do branding and scarification. Check on bmezine.com to see if anyone has suggestions or reccomendations.

I think tattoos are so main-stream now that you wouldn't offend many. Unless you have a naked chick on your forearm and end up in Saudi Arabia for business. Then you might want to wear long sleeves.
