Skin & Body - November 2006

I have been learning to tattoo for about 5 months now from someone that use to work out of a tattoo shop but does it out of his house now. When I was looking for someone to learn from every tattoo artist around here did not want to help out. They fear that if you work under them and they teach you what they know you will go off and take some of their buisness. Don't get me wrong I really do like the artist around here. They do really good work and would love to learn from them but they are not willing to teach. I have done 10 tattoo's so far and they keep getting better every time I do them. The ones I have done I barely charged anything and they were my friends that were willing to let me tattoo them. So I figure just as long as you know the dangers of tattooing and how to properly protect yourself and the costumers there is nothing wrong with doing them out of a house and not a shop.

I'm thinking of getting my first tattoo, and have sketched out an idea.
It would be color, a celtic cross about 3"x2", with a small flying heart. I'm toying with small initials added, but I think I may leave it as is.

Probably on a shoulder, or between shoulder blades, or perhaps on hip.

How much time does something like this normally take, and what about a cost estimate??

ok i popped 2 pimples on my face and theirs a little red blood scar that r kinda bumpy

and i use neutrogene acne facial wash scrub

I've recently lost quite a bit of weight and my boobs are different now..They're sorta flabby and a tad low...What things can I do to make them look better..Or a certain kind of bra? I'm still really young and don't want them like this for the rest of my life.

Because this guy friend of mine calls my boobs well he says "and your boobs are like negative negative A". He like saying it like it is my falut or something like he is saying make your boobs grow already he acts like I Can control my boobs.
I don't tell me to just be happy with who I am or tell him that it hurt your feelings those don't help me. I want my boobs already and naturally no plastic surgury.

a few weeks ago i was soaking my acrylic nails in acetone to remove them. of course, my fingers were like a hard prune when i finally got them off, but now the skin on my fingers is peeling like snake skin. some just peels off, some you can pull pretty decent sized pieces, some doesn't seem to want to budge period. tried oil and numerous lotions. any other suggestions? it's really irritating.

My best friend recently decided that she was fat. Period.

She's 5'8" and she said she weighs about 140 pounds. She refuses to eat lunch, or drink anything other than water. She even refuses gum, because it has calories. How can I convince her that she's not fat? I really worried because I think this may become a serious problem!

I am 17 years old and my mother is against tanning. She doesnt want me to go. So do i have to be a certain age in order to go to the tanning bed (ive tried looking online, and i live in kentucky). I have a job and my mom says ill have to pay for it, but she wont sign for me if i do need a parents signature. I really need to go because i have never been to a tanning bed before and it is coming to winter. Not to mention when it will snow i will just blend in haha.

First off i am a teenager (15) who would like to get a henna tattoo, is it possible to take a copy of what i want to the artist and for him to copy it if it is chinese lettering,.. I used to be anorexic, but only a minor case. Fortunately (or not) I went about it the terribly wrong way and ended up at a seriously low within only a few WEEKS!

But since right before my little bout, I have been pro-ana.

For a while, I was becoming healthy again. I limited my food, drink, and cigarettes properly. But then I met my hubby. He said I was SKINNY (was not, weighed 120, and I'm short with a small to medium build) and that I needed to put meat on my bones. So I began eating. And then I became stressed. And then I REALLY ATE! Now, I'm up to 145, and I've never weighed more than 125 at the end of a menstrual day (during period week, women can gain about 5 pounds, and at the end of the day is when the human body weighs the most)

I've tried for years, but my pro-ana-ness is getting the better of me. So the point of the question...

Does anyone know a REAL pro-ana site? All the ones I keep seeing say pro-ana but are a lure to make girls feel bad about theirselves...
