Yes it will...I won't recommend it to used in the skin under the sun light because it can make brown spots... Is better at night anything to light up your skin and hair doesn't matter...If you really want to light up your hair safe and really works then use Chamomile shampoo...In Spanish will be Shampoo de Manzanilla that really works trust me and is safe doesn't work from one nigh to the next morning by the way when the hair light up it will look natural color...Good luck!!!

You probably have broken skin that the citric acid of the lemon juice is burning. Remember that even though citric acid is weak, it is still an acid, so it can burn. Especially with prolonged contact. This is much too strong to use on your skin. People use lemon juice to lighten their hair and it ends up frying it. If it does that to your hair, image what it's doing to your skin. Although, if you dilute it enough so that it doesn't burn, it might be a good way to clean your skin, but won't work to treat acne.

I don't think lemon juice actually lightens the skin, my sister tried it on her freckles and all it did was irritate her skin. It will work on hair, however. It works better in the sun, but will work without it. A word of caution though - if you are a brunette, your hair may turn red first before it turns light brown or blonde.

Oh yes it does. If you use lemon juice as hairspray and work or whatever in the sun, your hair will lighten like no ones business... I did that once. I'm not sure how well it works without sun... you might try a hair dryer.... I think it'd still work because of how acidic it is.

Lemon Juice is acidic, and is low on the ph scale. It makes a great astringent. As far as lighting the hair, it can oh so very slightly lift color out of the hair, but...only if the hair is porous, or dry, and heat is involved to lift color out. If the hair cuticle(outer layer) is slick and healthy it probably won't have too much afftect.
Hope this helps you

I used to squeeze lemon juice in my hair as a teenager and sit in the sun and it would add highlights. I don't know if it works without sun. I'm thinking it would but maybe it will take longer.

Here are some other uses for lemons that I've acquired. If you have stains on your counter tops squeeze lemon juice on it and then wipe clean. Cut up lemons and put them in garbage disposal to freshen up.

lemon juice does not completely bleach skin....it is better as a cleaning agent for household stuff. try a paste of turmeric n milk....if u want highlighted hair go for henna paste...it will also make your hair silky.
