how do you keep your curls frizz free and defined? ive tried putting mouse on my hair when its damp or almost dry and it just comes wavy, even though my hair is curly i dont know why it comes wavy, so i want to define my curls and make them bounce and springy...any tips? thanks!

I need help trying to decide a good way for me to do my hair for prom. I have a simple dress, so I don't want anything to complicated. The dress has thin straps. Is there a hairstyle rule when you have thin straps like that?

How do I ask her? I know she'll say yes, because my older sister started at 10, but I just don't know how to ask her. I'll be 13 in a month, and all my friends do, and sometimes they joke about me not shaving (not being mean, but laughing). I know it's not a big deal to ask my mom, but I just can't seem to do it! Any tips on asking?

I'm going away camping with my friends and we're all typically worried about our hair going really nasty and greasy. We are going from a thursday to a monday and there won't really be any access to showers. So is there anything that anyone could possibly recommend to basically prevent greasy hair that we might be able to take with us?

The last time I had my hair done, my stylist and I were talking about ways to straighten my hair (it has waves but they're not even or regular) and she told me that she had just bought something at K-mart (of all places) for $20 (this was around Christmas) and it was a blow dryer and a straightener combined.. I was thinking she meant it was a wet/dry straightener but she said something about how it looks more like a blow dryer.. anyone know of anything like that?

I'm looking for a new haircut and I'm looking for a website with pictures of very trendy "in" haircuts.

I've TRIED googling it and everything I come upon seems to be from the 80s/early 90s.. big hair.. super short weird women's cuts.. I know that a lot of the trends right now are towards longer hair but I need some ideas and want to keep my hair shoulder length or shorter.

i got a perm last summer and its really hard to get all of my hair straight so does anyone know how i can get all my hair to straighten?anyone with experience that knows what to do with permed hair to get it to straighten?

Actually she probably noticed it this morning when she got up and did her hair.

Do you think she will suspect that I did it?

She knew I was not entirely pleased with the haircut, but I did not say much about it and gave her a decent tip, and was nice to her - until she turned her back.

My brother is the father of a biracial girl. She has very unruly curly hair that he and her mother have no idea how to deal with it. (I told them to keep it in french braids, but they don't know how). He's at wit's end and wants to straighten her hair thinking it will be manageable. I don't think salons will straighten a 3year old's hair... Do you think so?

I was just wondering what i can use on my hair to give it weight?My hair is so dry and damaged that when it dries it looks like a poof ball.When i run my straighner thru it its fine but to just let it air dry is out of the question.I bleach my hair every couple months so im sure thats why its dead.I just need something thats simple and not alot of ingrediants,and that is really going to work.Ive tried the mayo thing and it makes my hair feel rough.So if anyone has any ideas that you know will do the job please let me know.

Ok I was using selsun blue cuz I had dandruff, for about a year and couple months. Now forgive me for my lack of knowledge, I don't know much about hair or never went to a doctor before about my hair. I'm 22 year old male.

I've been starting to notice some slight hair loss in the front of my scalp. It doesn't look like anything major, I mean I can still cover what's missing with the hair that's already there, but if you look carefully you can tell the back of my scalp looks a bit thicker than the front. I use to think I was seeing things and you know how sometimes people's hair can get messed up and you might see a bit of their scalp every now and then? That's what I thought it was.

I feel like a complete idiot, i was using selsun for a year, I didn't know what I was doing and nobody knew that I was doing this. I didn't even know you're not supposed to wash your hair EVERYDAY. So is this hair loss permanent or will grow back? I'm really worried now.

Here's the scenario. My boyfriend and I were in our room when his sister came, with my shampoo and conditioner of that brand. She asked if they belonged to me (apparently, someone else borrowed it) and I said yes. My boyfriend began joking with her ( You stole my shampoo!, etc) and she scoffed and replied "I don't use garnier fructis. It Rottens your Hair" and she said it in such a nasty voice. I won't lie. I felt offended, though I did not say anything.
I just want to know if there is any truth to this. Personally, I have not seen were it is affecting my hair in that way, but I have not been using it for very long.
