does it mean hair fall?

or does it mean hair break into two parts-one still on the scalp and the other separated?

I like natural hair better on black women, even though they look good with both. It just says something about the individual more-in my opinion-if you choose to wear your hair natural! Is it harder to manage? Are you limited to fewer hairstyles going natural, have more options, or about the same? If more black men liked natural hair on black women, would more wear it, or do you think it matters. Or does it take mainstream society to accept it as being beatiful. What about black men, do you have a natural hairstyle and how are you perceived? What about having natural hair screams "criminal" in your opinion to mainstream society? If natural hair is so hard to manage, how did black women style their hair before perms..hotcombs..& what about black women in ancient cultures...shouldn't there be centuries worth of knowledge on how to deal with natural hair since creation..any speculation on how this knowledge got lost.(I know this question became a lot more complicated!)

ok so i have bleached hair, its pretty light, but i only bleach it and dont dye it and it has a slight yellow tint to it and i would much prefer a beige blonde. i know putting ash blonde over my bleached hair will probly result in green and im afraid putting in a violet toned blonde dye will make it more platinum and lighter which is not really what i want, if i put a beige blonde dye over my hair will i have catastophic results? whats the best color to use to get rid of the yellow and tone the color?

Normally I take good care of my hair, but recently my hair stylist colored it and it feels so gross and straw-like and frizzy and poofy. Obviously, I don't expect miracles, but what can help repair my hair the quickest? Money isn't that much of a consideration as long as it works. But then again, I don't want someone to tell me that the only thing that will work costs $15 an ounce or something.

I'm interested in getting my hair chemically straightened (Not the japanese method, as far as I know). I have a few questions, however.

1) How much does it cost approx.? I have middle shoulderblade length hair that is thick and wavy.

2) Will it get curly in the rain? How does it take to humidity? I go to a college where it literally rains-- almost everyday.

Other than that, what i've been reading and such sounds just what I've wanted: I'm so sick of trying to find a solution, and i'm sick of straightening my hair myself. I tried using multiple hair straighteners, to just walk out side and suddenly all my work has gone to waste.

If anyone has any answers, that would be great-- thanks! :)

I have very long and very thick hair - because of this I tend to throw it back in a pony tail and it tends to get damaged and dry.

It is very straight, but once it's been up all day - it gets tangly.

At the end of the day, how can I best get my hair shiney and also what can I do about the tangles?

I have been told to put advacado and honey in my hair? Wouldn't that be a mess to get out???

*note* this is the first time I have let my hair grow long since being a kid - I have always had short hair... this whole "girl" thing is new to me ;)

I have wavy, frizzy hair & want to have manageable curls. I wash, condition & let them air dry. most of the hair curl really well like this, but the top hair usually frizz out & don't form curls & make the shiny curls below them look bad. How can I make sure there's no frizz & curls are shining. I live in India & a lot of products might not be available here, so please suggest products which are available in India.
Also what kind of hairstyle should I get. I have a long oval face.

I'm and 18 year old male and I recently cut my long hair into a much shorter style and lately I've had some very dry scalp on the back (crown) area of my head. I have a bit of a cowlick thing going but on the back left side of my crown I have one part of hair that I cannot control. If I comb my hair forward I still have this little patch that parts in several different ways and almost looks like I have a little bald spot, or at least a thinning area on the back left side. The right side seems to comb well into place.

I thought maybe I was balding but my mom thinks that my hair is just not used to being so short and I'll need to grow it out more to get it under control. I also have itchy dry scalp back ther and a little more hairfall after I shower than usual.

Could I have an irritated scalp or something? Could I be going bald? It's really annoying me. The other night after I dried my hair it was very itchy and irritated and I actually pulled a few small strands of hair out.

Im a guy, and my hair is short-medium. like my fringe is side swept covering my forehead, covers my ears so its kinda long, but i just dont suite short spikey hair or anything like that whatsoever. its straight, (i straighten it) and its kinda bleach blonde at the moment. So im just wondering, should i keep it bleach blonde, or get or more natural blonde? dark brown or black just doesnt do anything for me, make my eyes looks discusting but most light kinda yellowy shades of blonde suite me alot more, makes me look more happy and vibrant. so, im going to the hairdresser tihs week to get it recoloured, but thought i shouls get a few opinions on colours. so please supply pics or opinions, anything will help :)

I chemically relaxed my hair a few months ago and now I would like to dye my hair 1 color. Is there a good dye out there that is good for brunettes and that won't really damage my hair from the relaxer that's already in my hair?

I know split ends need to be cut, but I want to know exactly why I have them so I can stop them coming back. I use a bristle brush once a day, I dont brush wet hair, I dont blow dry, I use pantene shampoo and conditioner, and hair moistureiser, I dont colour my hair, or straighten it, I eat a lot of protien, no one else in my family has this problem but only my sister has long hair.
My hair is really split, even the short ones, it is a light brown colour. It is down to my shoulderblades, I have only ever cut it a few times in my life, and the split ends always come back quickly, latley it has gotten worse (possibly because it was summer) I dont want to cut it too short as I need to be able to tie it back, but the damage goes all the way up, is it pointless to cut it? can it be genetic like dry skin? my hair grows really fine.

It is three or four weeks since my hair was permed and it still smells awful; especially when it's wet. It smells as though it has been burned. The stylist ran out of perm solution while applying it to my hair.(My hair is short, above the shoulder) She left the store and went down the mall to another salon to get more, leaving me with only part of my hair soaked in perm solution. In hindsight, I don't remember her using a neutralizer, nor did she rinse the hair very long.

Apart from the terrible smell, the perm is limp and slightly frizzy. How do I treat my hair while this is growing out?

I am new to the small city that I live in. Finding a talented stylist with good technique isn't easy. I don't want this to happen to me again. Any advice?
