I'm and 18 year old male and I recently cut my long hair into a much shorter style and lately I've had some very dry scalp on the back (crown) area of my head. I have a bit of a cowlick thing going but on the back left side of my crown I have one part of hair that I cannot control. If I comb my hair forward I still have this little patch that parts in several different ways and almost looks like I have a little bald spot, or at least a thinning area on the back left side. The right side seems to comb well into place.

I thought maybe I was balding but my mom thinks that my hair is just not used to being so short and I'll need to grow it out more to get it under control. I also have itchy dry scalp back ther and a little more hairfall after I shower than usual.

Could I have an irritated scalp or something? Could I be going bald? It's really annoying me. The other night after I dried my hair it was very itchy and irritated and I actually pulled a few small strands of hair out.

see a dermatologist. the itchiness could just be topical allergy (dermatitis)related due to shampoos and/or conditioners and gels, but it could signal a skin disease such as excema or psoriasis, i am leaning toward psoriasis, and it needs to be treated. as for the other symptoms, the hair fall may or may not be related. as for the parting, it is most likely a cowlick that you are seeing more now that your hair is short. many people depict this as balding.

I prefer hair that will is shoulder length or longer, And since that men who like ladies are more often then not right, they like long hair because it looks more feminine, as most guys have short hair.
