Hair - March 2007

My hair is a total mess... uncontrolable (gross) waves in some spots and poofy & frizzy in another spot. Is there anything I can do to make my hair look soft and shiny right after I take a shower? Also, is there anything (shampoo or conditoner) I could use to make my gross waves look pretty or my frizzy hair look straight? HELPPPPPP!!!

I have a number of problems with my hair and I hope some of you can help.

1) My hair has split ends and thus it will look like I have several strands of hair sticking out.

2) My hair is coarse and when I comb my hair has a kind of 'entangled' feeling. How do I get my hair to be soft and disentangled like it used to?

3) I have been using Head n Shoulders conditioner so how long is it best to leave the conditioner in my hair?

I hope you all can help me, thank you :D

P.s. I am a male with middle-length hair.

I am naturally a dirty blonde. Over the years I have dyed my hair alot. I went a dark burgundy red for a while and decided I wanted to go back to blonde. I kept buying those walmart hair bleaches and turned my hair every color of orange you could think of. I kept dying it and bleaching it trying to get it blond until I fried it. It cost me 200.00 dollars at a salon to get it fixed at least a little. I decided to go back dark red about 4 years ago knowing I would not attempt to bleach it by myself again. Well now I am tired of it and would like to be a blonde again. I figure I will just have to go to a salon and get it done. If I thought there was a way to do it myself without frying my hair or turning it weird colors I would save the money and the time.

i got my hair permed some weeks ago, the day after i permed it, i woke up and it was looking rough, so i brushed it out. so its straight now, thoes any1 have an idea on how i can get my curls back, i tothg if i wash it it will get back, but its just a bit wavy.

As i wash it more often it becomes more and more oily. Some years ago i was wasing it at one week but now i have to do it every 2 days. What can i do. I don't want to wash it every 2 seconds !!!

i've been trying to dye my hair white or grey/silver a couple of times but the dye never works. my hair is dark brown but i have it dyed black. i bleached my hair a few times and got it really light in some parts but in others the more i dyed it the more it got orange-ey from the bleach. when i tired to use the white and the silver hair dye they both didn't work even on my roots that were as light as they could get next to going white. i've been trying to dye it with wella hair dye. does anyone know any other brands i should use or woulf be better to just go to a salon and have a professional do it. i've spent about 40 dollars just on dye and bleach and stuff and i gave up and dyed it black it again because i got fed up after the dye didn't work

It's not too long right now, it's just about to my eyebrows. I need it to get as long as it can get within two months. Is there anything I can do to sort of "speed up" the process? i m guy with blue eyes, golden-blonde hair and golden-blonde eyebrows, as for my hair the back just reaches my shoulders and start to curve out while my bangs cover my right eye just a little bit, anyways with these traits would you suggest me getting jet-black hair like most people who follow the same style as me have or bleaching it white which is increasing in popularity and please tell me why?
