Oh haha, I've done this many times while babysitting. You use peanut butter. Take a glob of peanut butter, and rub it on the wad of gum. Keep rubbing (doesn't take long) and you will notice the gum breaking up. Something about the oils in peanut butter break down the sticky of gum! Good luck!

Cut the section of hair where the chewing gum is ONLY.

The easiest way is to cut it out, but the best way is to put a little olive oil (or corn oil, etc--not motor oil!) on the spot, massage it and pick it away, continue until all gum is gone.

I usually get frustrated and just cut it out.

when i was 6 i twirled one of those big round brushes around my hair till i was in 1 big knot and my dad cut out like this huge clump of my hair but it still looked normal. ANYWAY use baby oil, and massage it into the gum and it will gradually become less sticky and pick at it till it out. then take a nice shower.

peanut butter or anything that is oily, it allows the rubberyness of the gum breakdown, it may be quite a long and messy process so the best thing is to cut it out- it will grow back
