i just colored my hair for thr first time at the salon. i already have my favorite shampoo and conditioner-neutrogena triple moisture. but it does not say those little words-safe for color treated hair. how important is this? or is this a scam so i'll go buy the $12 redken for color treated hair.?

She has a severe infestation of nits and also has not attempted to brush out her hair for at least six months. Her hair is very knotted. She is phobic about having her hair brushed and is reluctant to accept support. I was going to try first dowsing her hair with conditioner and then using a comb attempt to tease out the tangles. I then plan to wash her hair, dry it and then use a nit solution to address the issue of the infestation. Has anyone any suggestions to help make this a successful project and to reduce the stress to the young lady

I am naturally blonde. I went to a dark auburn red color about 2 and 1/2 years ago and had to dye it seriously every month or it would fade to orange. My hair is getting split ends and I have wanted to grow it out but it is impossible while I dye it, since I have to cut it so often.

I am now flirting with the idea of dyeing it back to blonde so I can let it grow out to my natural, healthy, untouched hair.. all the while trimming off the dead ends of corse.

1 - How many processes do you think it will probably take?
2- How badly will it damage my hair?
3- Will my hair ever go back to what it used to be?
4- What would you reccommend I do?

I haven't lived in this area long. I was looking for a pretty good place to get my hair cut for a decent price ... not like 50$ a hair cut.. I used to pay $25 where I used to go, but it's not around here. Any suggestions??

Mine never are, is it because the girl is doing it wrong or is it because of the way hair grows - ie, I know there is a cycle of growth and falling out, does waxing miss the small hairs just growing. I never seem to be completely smooth and I have soft light hair, which is just as well cos I can get away with small stubble as it is fair. But is my beautician rubbish or what???

I tried one of those home highlighting kits last night and the results were disasterous!! Base colour is good but highlights are blocky, uneven and brassy. Phoned the Loreal helpline who advised a wash in toner in a darker colour which I've just done with no effect. Can I redye my hair again today with the original base colour (this time leaving out the highlights!)?? Help!!!

Right now I'm alight golden blond, but I really would like to go brunette (for the heck of it). I was thinking something like Rose McGowan's hair color but I think it might make me look gothic (also my skin is nowhere near as light as hers, but still fair). I know that I also want highlights in it, just so the color won't look too flat. Any suggestions?
