My daughter had long thick brown hair and she just got it cut! This is how she got it cut: she had them razor cut it in layers so it flips up a little in the back. She also had them make it so it's parted on the side and the bangs go over across her forehead in a "sideswoop"! I bet this would look good on you!! Good Luck!

I also have thick, brown hair.
Is your hair long or short?
Eiether way, I would highly suggest layers. This is the only way to make sure that your thick hair will have a shape to it.
Go to a salon that you trust, and just tell them what you want. They will suggest layers, guaranteed. Also, you might want to consider some bangs, like some nice, soft, side-sweeping ones. They will add definition around your face. See what your stylist says, and bring in pictures of celebrities like Jennifer Aniston. She also has thick hair with layers and most often some bangs (think last season on Friends).
Good luck hun. You'll look great.

I have thick dark brown hair, too. I used to wear it long, but five or so years ago I chopped it off. I'd love to grow it out but can't get past the shoulders before I get sick of it and chop it off again. So I wear mine in kind of shag layers, with a LOT of layering in the back since it's so thick. It's a fun cut, because you can either flip the ends out (like in my avatar) or tuck the sides behind my ears and wear it sleek and straight, or curl it and wear it "big"...all sorts of things. But you really want something that goes with your face shape. Play with your avatar picture and try different hairstyles and see which one you like. Then find a magazine photo of a model who's hair you like, and take it to your stylist. That's what I always do. Have fun!

Sure. If you want something different, a hair cut is always nice. Just go to a stylist you trust and ask what style they think would look good on you. If you don't like it, it will always grow out.
