I have long hair and want big loose curls. I dont have curlers and i was thinking of getting heated rollers as i dont have the time to stand there and curl my hair for ages.

why dont you plait your hair while it is damp - then blast it till its dry with the hairdryer - the spray with hair spray and take the bobbles out - when you loosen the plaits you hair will look nice and curly. or you could try using rags - you wrap damp hair roung the rags before you go to bed - then when you wake up it willl be curly x x x

or you can use GHD's but i find this difficult to do myself x

how about putting in rag curlers made out of an old t-shirt or shirt and sleeping in them.

Tie a knot at the bottom of your hair and wind up the hair and then knot it again at the top.

At least you haven't wasted any money if you don't like it. Use more hair per rag for bigger curls and less hair for smaller ones.

Worked for centuries before heated rollers!

Get a good curling iron, of sleep with curlers in your hair, if not buy a huge barrel curling iron and each time you roll a stranded of your hair in it, hair spray it.

I have long straight hair too. Get the "conair jumbo rollers". They come in a case that you plug in and they heat up. blow dry your hair straight, but leave it sliiiiightly damp. Then after the rollers have heated up, roll 1-2inch sections of your hair around the roller and clip it up. I usually let them sit in for about 10-20 minutes. The longer you let them sit, the more the curl will hold.

definatly get the conair rollers....they are SO UNBELIVEABLY EASY to use!

If you want to take advise from someone who used to use soup cans with both ends cut off for beautiful bouncy curls, that works real good, also velcro curlers work real good, also spray hair lightly with a moisturizer before curling and while still slighlty damp spray with hairspray to give a little hold, when hair is dry remove cans, fluff with fingers, hairspray a little more, add clips barrettes and go.
