Right now I'm alight golden blond, but I really would like to go brunette (for the heck of it). I was thinking something like Rose McGowan's hair color but I think it might make me look gothic (also my skin is nowhere near as light as hers, but still fair). I know that I also want highlights in it, just so the color won't look too flat. Any suggestions?

sounds really hott, I would suggest getting some highlights and lowlights, a blonde and a redish color, maybe something like terra cotta, or chilli these are colors created by my hair stylist using redken products a golden like blonde would be nice

how about hilites and lowlites (lighter and darker colors in your natural color)?
you could do chunky lowlites and fine strands of hilites to make them really stand out.
with blue or green eyes, a red shade mixed in really makes your eyes sparkle.
