Everyone says that your hair is going to fall out if you've had a relaxer, and then you don't relax the new growth. i wanted to know is this clinically proven, or is it just a myth? I want to go natural but i don't want to cut my relaxed hair, so instead i was thinking that i could just straighten my natural hair with a regualr straightening iron. My friend does that and she hasn't had a perm in almost a year, and her hair seems fine.

I have light brown hair but I wanna dye it darker brown....not like dark brown where it looks brown though...like a dark finish wood brown or something like that lol

BUT I have green eyes. Will the darker hair bring their color out more? Or will it not? Cuz that would be a big PLUS 4 me. My hair and my eyes are some of my best features and I dont wanna...idk...make them less noticable or something.

This relates to my previous question about thick curly hair. Someone wrote stop trying to make your hair like a white persons, well I am white I just have really thick curly hair like a black person's hair and with all the peoples responses so far I haven't found an answer I'm searching for about how to manage thick, curly course hair. Please help I'm growing it out and it's always getting frizzy in the humidity. I use Garnier fructis and hawian ginger root conditioner and lots of it. If you have curly hair like me you know what I mean by lots of conditioner.

Right now I use Biolage shampoo and no conditioner. My hair isn't suitable for conditioner. I want my hair to feel less heavy, smoother, silkier, and I want it to look straighter.

I have really thick course hair and I'm always managing it and I want to grow my hair out because it hasn't been long since I was nine and now I'm sixteen and it touches my shoulders a little but not quite there yet, but I want it to touch below my shoulders, but no longer and I keep thinking how hard it's going to be when it grows out where I want it. How do you manage thick curly hair when it's in the process of growing out? I remember when my parents would comb my hair in the morning and I'd scream at the top of my lungs and knowing when it grows out again I'll have to experience it again.LOL I have another question how can I become patient with my hair growing out, because my mom said my hair probably won't be at the length I want it until I'm a senior. What do you think about both of my questions?

I have a fairly new flat iron (1.5 width) that has the gold plated ceramic hot pieces (for total lack of a better phrased description). Apparently I should have wiped it down after every use but I didn't so the plates are dirty and are not working as best they could. How can I clean the plates properly and effectively? I've tried rubbing alcohol and plain soap and water. none seem to work. i wanna clean it properly ASAP to avoid further build up and total product replacement. Hairdressers use these things all the time ...anyone know? No cleaning instructions were provided w/the product.

If I'm looking for a shampoo to remove residue is the Neutrogena one very effective? If not what shampoo would you recommend and why? How long have you been using this product too. I get build-up since I have thick hair and from my shampoo for the most part. However, switching shampoo doesn't seem to help. Plus I use products too. If it (the clarifying shampoo) does work what are the downsides to it? I hear it can dry your hair and is expensive: but most good things are expensive. How often to you use your product too. I don't wash my hair every day as it is since it drys my hair out etc.
