yeah deep-conditioning, also don't over wash it because that takes out moisture, hot oil treatments.
No more gel because gel dries out hair! Also don't put too many product in at once because that doesn't help much.
Also cut off all the slit ends because the longer they stay is the longer the spit gets which causes hair loss.
Also the best product (even if you don't think so) are in the "African-American section" because the products deal with a lot of dry, thick/thinning, etc hair types.
good luck. =)

2 years ago? You should have a lot of new growth. Cut off the permed part. You can't fix split ends. Deep condition your hair and in the future stay away from chemicals.

Go get a really good short hair cut and start over, deep conditioning will help as it coats the hair, but, Hair is dead so you cant really fix something that is already dead. To get the hair you want back you should get a good hair-cut and just start over, after all hair does grow and the healthier it is the faster it will grow.

You can't get rid of a perm, you have to cut it all off if you want your natural hair back. You just have to find products that work well with your hair, especially moisturizers.

Even if you wanted to get it checmically straightened, you couldn't. You hair can literally fall out in the process. I think you should just cut as much off as you can.
