Hair - January 2007

Well i am going to this dance (which is a formal thing) that is for 21 or older, and i have a question about how to do my hair! I want to tie a ribbon in my hair like a hairband! I bought the ribbon from a craft store, but the ribbon will not stay in my hair! It keeps sliding out of the place i want it to stay! Is there any ideas how i can keep the ribbon in place for the whole night?

My niece is african american and white. She has the hair of an african american. It is starting to fall out .What can we do for it. My sister says she knows she needs to moisterize it.But what can we use. She is 1 years old. I hope no one takes gets up set with me for this questions. I just want to be able to take care of my niece the way she needs to be taken care of.She is a gorges child.

Okay, here is mine. I had long hair and the ends were looking very bad because I had failed to go to the salon like I should have. I went to go get it cut up at supercuts because my boyfriend always went there to get his done and I actually liked their work. Well the woman cut off a lot, I was shocked when I say the first locs of hair fall to the floor, but then she gave me a super cool Aeon Flux type hair style with most of the length being at the front of my hair.

Now for the bad part, I went to Regis to get a relaxer 2 weeks later. The stylist raved about my cut, but said she saw a few stray ends she need to trim. I said sure, she cut and relaxed, then styled my hair in a weird bowlish cut. I thought nothing of it until I was doing my hair the next day and it was a totally different cut. She had cut off the ends in the front, that totally made the cut and had gave me a Salt n Pepper type haircut. I had to get it fixed and cut shorter and I have hated my hair ever since.

just weeks after getting it done. I can't afford the expensive shampoos and conditioners for coloured hair, so I just use Pantene. If I used baby shampoo would that be more gentle and slow down the fading process?

i have naturally dark blonde/mousey hair and have been dying it black semi-permanently for about 18 months, i recently tried to lighten it with a brown hair dye (permanent) but it wasn't very effective, i really want my natural hair back so i can get some highlights and be blonde for the summer. Is there any way i can get the black out? I'm desperate so would be prepared to bleach it if absolutely necessary... please help

I used to have a mullet, and the end of the hair just curled into my neck. I had a haircut today (a crappy one by the way), the barber shortened the mullet, but now the hair still curls into my neck, I have straight hair. What do I do to "uncurl" it?

I need advice on their Castings Creme Gloss and which colour to use. I tried the light brown and even that was too dark for my hair, even though my hair I would say is a mid brown. I've seen the Iced Latte but that looks too light. I was wondering though if that is the shade one lighter than light brown as it seems they all appear darker on my fine hair.

I have 4 kids and they have had almost everything in their hair, this is what I've found in the past. Gum, sticky food, burger, ringworm,sand,and a fly.

I got my hair cut in short layers (big mistake!!!) and its too short... its right under my chin.... it looks so ugly on me..... i have a very round face and its kinda chubby too so it looks even worse and makes my face look fatter....
