so my friend buys these really cheap like $5 straight perms in a box from the walmart and i wanted to buy one. my mom says it sounds like it would ruin your hair because a lot of those cheap do it yourself hair products do. does it?

I'm a white girl with naturaly dark blond hair. My hair was formerly colored, and did have some bleach in it. I keep dying my hair brown and it eventually turns a brassy redish-brown. I want a deep chochlate espresso brown. I cant afforid to get it done professionaly. A guy at the salon said I should do a protein treatment on my hair because it will make the color stay truer, longer. Any advise? I am using nuteral colors. (Not G's or R's)

Since my hair likes to battle it out with me with frizz, do you think it is better to comb my hair or no? Which produces less frizz? Thanks!

It mostly happens after I take showers. I will get out and brush my hair. Of course, some hair falls out in my brush. But then, when I go to squeeze out the extra water with my hands, I get a big clump of hair. What do I do? Please help! [[and please be serious]]

I dye my naturally brown hair black about every 3 months for almost 3 years. I use garnier nutrisse in black liccorice. I notice that in some spots, between colorings, the color fades. I even tried different brands of hair dye, and they all did the same, and I didn't like the way they made my hair feel either.

I have middle- back long hair. I have oily, and dundruffy hair. I use equate dandruff shampoo for oily hair, but my hair is frizzy, and I want a shampoo that will take that away. I got guarnue Fructis shampoo, for dry,frizzy and unmanagable hair, but that will make my hair really oily. Is there a shampoo, that is for frizzy hair, but will not make my hair oily?

Does anyone know a product or something to help calm my frizzy hair? Its driving me insane! The only way it looks nice is if I straighten it, but I don't have the time to do it and in a few hours it is frizzy again... I use several different products to try to calm it and nothing is working, please help!

I started using Pantene Pro-V shampoo a few months ago, and I noticed lately that I have quite a bit of hair falling coming out in the shower, and on my brush, and my clothes...It's really starting to worry me. I went to the doctor, and he said there was nothing medically wrong. But I did a little search and I found a lot of people had the same problem and they said that they found that Pantene made their hair really thin, and fall out. Anyone know if this is true, and if it is, why would they still sell a product that is pretty harmful? Any suggestions as to what other kind of shampoo I could switch to? I'm getting pretty worried here....
