It isnt its a huge advertising campaign that milloms fall for, the overall concept however is very good.....they use metallic salts rather than actual hair color so it is much less damaging ana is suppose to look more natual, though I as a hairstylist beg to differ!

For marketing reasons. It implies that it is just for men. Some men might feel that dyeing hair is a woman's thing to do, and not for them. Just for men allows men to buy the dye without worrying about whether their sexuality forbids it.

it's trying to de-gay hair coloring for men. Make it seem masculine and not 'weak' to get your hair colored.
I like clairol best.
