Hair-color always fades. You didn't say what color your hair is, but red fades out the most. Using these colored shampoos is just staining your hair every day and therefore changing the original color you paid for (because they don't make them to exactly match, they are generic browns, reds, blonds). I do suggest color-safe shampoos and conditioners. You can get them inexpensively at Target or Wal-Mart.

To prevent fading you really need to use a shampoo that's designed to hold color in. I would love to explain to you how it all works, but it would be way too confusing over the keyboard. But baby shampoo won't work! It has nothing to do with how gentle the shampoo is or anything. It has to do with the shampoo molecules and your hair cuticle. You need a color shampoo plain and simple if you want your hair color to hold. some people are fortunate that they don't have to worry about that. But i guess your one of the many that do need to use a color shampoo. I'm sure the store has shampoo for color that isn't too expensive. It's not the best but it's better than using pantene. I would also switch to a different shampoo line. Never use pantene. it's so bad for your hair.

I have used baby shampoo ( or the one that also is combined with a light conditioner) for years on my color treated hair & have not had a problem. Because it's "gentle enough for a baby", it won't strip your hair or have an harsh chemicals like some of the other shampoos do. I have also used the Kids' shampoo too (the 2 in 1 for kids has a better conditioner than the baby one)

John Frieda sells a color glaze at Wal-Mart for about 6 dollars. That will refresh your hair color. And use a color safe shampoo to keep the fading down.

You really need to use products for colored hair. There are several different brands out there that are the same price as pantene, or cheaper. I would also find out what brand of the color was used.

No just use better hair color. Also, before you want to dye your hair, you have to let your hair get dirty and oily because the color becomes richer and it lasts longer. I'm not an expert but I hoped these tips helped!! !^_^!
