Hair - January 2007

Ok, I had braids for two months and slowly over the next months i got dreads put in. I kept my dreads for 5 months and then combed them out. This took about 16 hours and I hacked quite alot of my hair out. Now a year down the line my hair thickness still hasnt come back!! It has got thicker than it was after I combed out my dreads but the thickness it was before has not come back! Just want to know if anybody know if it will come back and how long that this will take??

Hello all greetings. I have very long hair but when its dry it has a tendency to poof out really bad and i hate that. I use pantene conditioner and shampoo. I hate to use hair spray and its been actually six years or more since i used a hair dryer and still my hair gets poofy. I have tried all kinds of gels i dont like the way they make my hair feel. I also tried thinning my hair out and all that did was make it thicker and worse. I need something that will work forever...

I am a big fan of hair products! I would like to know the BEST brand of iron curlers and iron straighteners! I've been using many brands like Vidal Sasoon, L'oreal Paris and other japan products, but none gave me the best results! im living in Malaysia right now and there's not a lot of brands to choose from, no variety! Where can i get the straighteners you've mentioned online?

ok my hair is a medium brown with black highlights, ok, but i went to the website that is on my box && it showed that i would come out with like red hair, and i dont want red hair. well i was wondering if i leave it on longer than what the box say, if it will turn out blonde, because it is supposed to be a medium blonde, the box says 25 minutes but that would make it red, if i want it like a medium blonde, then how long should i keep it on?????

I live in the Croydon area so near there would be great. I have been into several salons that Im sure could do it but they do not do afro hair.

The afro hair salons I have been to seem very unsure. I did go into one to get it done but though the girl said she could do it I stopped her after 10 minutes because I could tell she did not know what she was doing. The small section she did has actually broken off now to only 3 inches long compared to the 10 I went in with.

I currently have bleached hair the colour of honey but I put a dark brown rinse on the fringe area and a semi in red over the rest. It was a temporary style for the festive time.

Now I want to go back to the honey colour underneath all this mess and also retouch my roots in the fringe area.

I really prefer an experienced stylist, I don't mind paying for the priviledge provided they know what they are doing.
