How can I get from medium brown to a light brown or blonde in one visit to the beauty salon?

Just go and ask them to do it... Unless you dye your hair very frequently and it is damaged it shouldn't be a problem to do that in one visit =)

they will have to lift colour in other words bleach your hair to the desired level, it will turn a bright brassy yellow colour so they must then tone your hair to the desired shade you would like. It should only take about 1hour and a half.

They will lift the color, it's not the same as a home job. It can be done don't worry.
