Well, I have an idea of what it is. I'm just interested in seeing the results of it. Anyone have any pictures of it? Or Know where I can find pictures of a rootperm that is done?

if you've ever seen someone who had a perm that was growing out (and you could see it), a root perm is supposed to perm only the root area to blend it with the ends. it never looks the same. i have never seen one turn out correctly.

a root perm with large rods on thin, fine hair works wonders!

A root perm was used at one time to do a 'touch' up on an existing perm if the hair was not in strongen enough condition to endure a total perm....these times, it could be done as a hair fashion statement or as a touch up...the process involves winding (shaping) only the root area and proceeding as per usual with the perm solution(s) necessary for the hair to retain that shape. It would, onl it's journey, protect the rest of the hair from the procedure....hope that this helps...p.s. you would need someone assisting you if you are intending to do this yourself.......
