I have really dark brown hair, that is ALMOST black when it is wet. I am a white girl and I want to go a lighter reddish brown. My problem is my hair grows REALLY fast. I got highlights about a month ago and my roots have already grown in and become VERY noticeable. I also don't want to damage my hair more than it already is, because I straighten it about twice a week and my hair has a lot of breakage in it and horrid split ends, you wouldn't BELIEVE how split and dry they are. I want to wait a while, maybe, before I do this, how long will it take before the breakage is gone? I am getting my split ends trimmed at some point this week or I'm doing it myself, because they are horrible. My other question is why do my roots grow so fast, what makes them grow fast, and can I slow them down? Any help you can give or advice in this this situation would be greatly appreciated. I have very long blonde hiar and want a change. I am considering blonde still, but the brown underneath. I dfont have the money to do it myself now, so id like to try it myself, i have alwyas dyed it blonde... how do i do this? any tips.

i just got a curler and i used it a couple times. and my ends get curly but nothing else!! i have long hair and i use spray on my hair so the curler won't burn my hair and it's supposed to 'hold' too.. but how do i make curls? my hair doesn't get curly..

i can get it curly with curlers but i want to use a curler. it should be able to get curly. how do i do it? do i need to hold the curler on forever?

I've seen other questions from ladies here asking "should I or shouldn't I?" so that's where I got the idea for this question.

Didn't necessarily have to be for Locks of Love (although that is certainly for a good cause); just for a change or feeling especially brave.

Were you pleased with the results? What was your reaction when you say the "new you" looking back at you in the mirror? And what was the reaction from family and friends when they say your new look?

Hey

I'm really good with a curling iron, but I don't know what I should do to it before hand (my hair is naturally frizzy/wavy). Should I take a shower that morning or the night before, should I straighten it. I just don't know. All your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!
