Hey

I'm looking for a good intensive conditioning treatment. I don't mind paying up to about £10... My hair is long and in decent shape.. Just a tad dry at the ends... I'm a straightener addict!

Any advice?

i use straightners on my hair constantly, iv used loads of different conditioners and i love tressemme which you can buy in chemists and supermarkets or the tubs of kerestase which are available from leading salons.
when my ends get really dry i apply the tressemme on the mid-lengths and ends and leave it in overnight. dont apply any to the roots as it will leave your hair oily

I'm a straightening addict aswell and I use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor every time i wash my hair (every other day). Since i started using it about 4 months ago i have already noticed an incredible difference in the condition of my hair- it's softer and more manageable. I use a spray aswell that helps protect hair from heat up to 200°C- it's called 'Schwarzkopf OSIS Flatliner'. I would recommend it!

I'm telling you, the best intensive conditioners are the ones in your own home. An avocado mash is absolutely fabulous. Mayonnaise at the ends works great. Coconut oil (bought in the cooking oil section of your local market) is also fabulous. Leave any of these things on the mane of your hair (depending on how naturally dry your scalp is, you might want to put it all over) for about twenty minutes. Then wash and do a final rinse in cold water for shine. (I usually wash my hair in the sink when I do one of these intensive conditioners as the sink is used to such food products and easier to clean.)

Have fun! And remember to put on your favorite cd and do this in your bathrobe for extra comfort!

Anything in the John Freda Frizz Ease range - he does an intensive conditioner which is great. You should be using a spray in heat protector everytime you use your straighteners too! If you aren't going out I would not use any product or appliances on your hair - let it rest!!!

My husband is French and he brought me back some Phyto Masque Restructurant when he came back from visiting his Mom in Marseilles. He brought the Masque and the shampoo and both are excellent but expensive so I would say try the Masque Restructurant first.

My hair was so bad due to a diet and it was breaking and falling out (soy does this to people I found out later) anyway the Phyto is phantastic!

Here is a very good review on Phytologie:

lee stafford poker straight range, and straightening addict stuff by trevor sorbie protects the hair from heat damage.

I think a good idea is to use a heat defense spray, and better still stick your hair in a ponytail, and leave off the irons to let the goodness get back into your hair.

Paul Mitchell Hair Repair Treatment - costs £10.50 I think. You can get it from a salon.

Go onto the qvc website or watch it when they have OJON products on. They are made from Ojon oil and the products are fabulous. A bit pricey but worth it.

something from a good hairdressers, possibly like KMS or clynol. or maybe a hair masque once a week would be beneficial. also, (if you dont already) do use a heat protective spray before straightening! xxx
