When you start to dye your hair underneath just put the rest of your hair in a clip on top of your head. Then decide how much of the hair underneath that you want to color then comb it out and dye it.

It always scares me when people color their hair at home. In most cases its not the product that is not good but the person doing the coloring has no idea what they are doing. There are so many factors to consider when changing your hair color. Since you said that you always color your hair blonde at home I am assuming that you are using a lightener to do this. If this is the case then every time you lighten (or bleach) your hair you are removing the color tone from your hair. All hair, regardless of the shade has an undertone. The undertone ranges from red for those with black hair through orange and yellow and palest yellow for people with light blonde hair. If you have used lightener and removed that undertone from your hair you are going to have to replace that undertone before you color the hair darker. If you don't do this you will end up with very dull and drab color that will wash out very quickly. The undertone also helps hold the color in the hair. Most people don't understand how color works at the molecular level. Sounds confusing right? It can be...I would suggest going to a salon to have a professional do it. Otherwise, as someone else suggested....section your hair off, color the underneath brown and leave the top blonde and hope and pray that it works.

if you have already dyed it.. dont tamper with it youll just get bored again soon after. if you really want a change.. like i always do.. cut it short and add some angles or maybe side bangs!
