Hair - November 2006

I'd like to get highlights, but I don't want the thick 1/4 inch streaks. I want very, very tiny highlights (almost like individual strands) in different colors to add some depth to my hair. Is there a certain name for this so I can describe to my stylist what I want? Thanks!

My hair is naturally wavy-curly, but I straighten it almost every morning.
And there's always little pieces of hair that stick up on top.
I know everyone has these, but does anybody know of any good anti-frizz products that actually work?

OK so I'm a rock musician my whole life. I've had long hair, I've tried short hair, etc etc. Now I'm 33 and slightly balding (not too bad yet but its there), and most hairstylists recommend a short hair style, so that the balding isn't as obvious. The problem is: I'm a rock musician, I like long shaggy wild out-of-control but with-style hair. So what does one do?

1) Get short hair cut, dye it blue and/or shave symbols into it
2) Grow it really long, so you can't see the bald spot in back, but the receding hair line in front is still noticeable.
3) Grow it medium length, layer it, use lots of product, and have sort of a mad-scientist-meets-rocker look
4) shave it bald, and maybe grow the goatee back

Additional info: I am dirty-dishwater blonde, and have a young face, more the cute-cherubic kinda face than the angular-handsome face.

ok so i have hair almost at my waist and was wondering what would be the best shampoo and conditioner to protect against breakage, so would you say that Garnier Fructis length and strength or Tresemme anti-breakage is better if any of you have tried either of these do they work or which works better?

My hair is very oily, rebellious, dandruff, i swim.. all that good stuff. Anyway, I found out that putting in talcum powder for that helps...it really does, trust me. But, it leaves my hair smelling like..talcum powder(It's baby powder). What can I use to make my hair smell good, after I put in the talcum(baby) powder? I need products, not shampoos or alternatives to talcum powder please.....
