When I was a teenager and had long (curly) hair, I used to iron it. Don't tell your mum I said this, and be careful, put a towel between the iron and your hair, and get a friend/sister to do it for you. Don't have the iron too hot. My mum used to go mad ! It will dry your hair though, so keep it well conditioned and don't do it too often,

If it is shorter, after youve washed and dried it a bit, put quite a lot of gel on it (about a teaspoon should do it) and brush it all through your hair. Then plaster it flat against your head, using the head as a kind of ironing board. Make it as straight as you can and let it dry naturally - don't use a hairdryer, that will fluff it. It will take a couple of hours to dry, then comb it through and see what you think.

I have wavy hair too. I straighten my hair everyday and it is fine. However, I know some people's hair can't do that. I have a friend who has curly hair and it is so dried out, it literally breaks off in pieces. While mine, which is straightened all of the time and should have tons of heat damage is extremely healthy. So, straighten your hair and see how it takes it. If not try using a blow dryer and a flat brush. Also, I use Herbal Essences and they have a conditioner for dry hair that literally leaves my hair feeling like silk. It's in the blue bottle.

I also have wavy hair but I occasionally straighten. However, straightening is not the best for it and you should wear it natural more often (I bet it's beautiful!). When I do straighten my hair I use a straightening shampoo and conditioner, that will help reduce the wave. And a flat iron. I know it's time consuming and not the best on your hair but you should use a deep conditioner every so often to repair some of the damage.

My mum has really curly hair and she tried Lee Stafford Poker Straight serum which worked really well, especially when it dried naturally... If that doesn't work, continue with your straighteners but use Tony and Guy iron it heat defending spray, it's really good at keeping your hair in good condition!! Also, I try and only straighten my hair every 2 or 3 days, and to keep it looking shiney and not greasy I use Bisque dry shampoo, which helps keep my hair nice because it means im not straightening it every day!

I'm assuming you're referring to perms as straighteners. After straightening my hair with an iron, I wrap it (by taking hair in sections and tightly wrapping it around your head and using the big bobby pins to secure it). Use a hair net afterwards, not a bandana, because if you sweat it'll end up frizzy. I do this before I go to sleep. It helps to iron less often and when you iron make sure to use some good heat-activated conditioner to keep your hair healthy.

Natalie G. is right. I too, use a straightening shampoo & conditioner when I want my hair straighter. I blow it out with the dryer, and then use a flat iron. I deep condition once x week.

The grass is always greener on the other side. I bet there are girls who envy your hair. Good luck!

You could try and blow dry your hair straight using a brush at the same time, get mum to help, or you could use " straightening cream" apply when wet, you can buy in most shops eg Asda, body care etc! good luck xxx

Not without either straighteners, an iron or a straight perm. I wish I had curly hair, you're lucky = )

use a good straightening shampoo folwed by conditioner and then seperate hair in to sections using clips, blowdry on a low heat whilst brushing that section with a rounded brush and make sure you dry it until its bone dry then spray a tiny bit of hairspray. good luck but i have straight hair and i find it so boring i would love to have curly hair you are very lucky.
