It is maybe greasy. Its making weird, a bit sour smell. Or it can be an effect of ur environment. Do u often go to swimming pool? It can be the smell of chlorine. Or do u have close friends/classmates/etc who are smoking a lot? It can be the smell of it too.
Look after the environment, ur diet (maybe u drink less water or eat spicy foods, fatty, etc).
And don't forget about using herb (!) shampoos and conditions.

First, check your water; is it city? or well? There could be a chemical from the water that is building up in your hair.
If you have a water softener make sure that its filled with salt as well. The next thing I would do is mix a few Tablespoons of baking soda with your shampoo and rub it into you hair well- let it sit on your hair for a few minutes. It will take some rinsing and feel weird but baking soda really neutralizes odors. Then conditon(your hair will feel dry after that) and rinse with a bit of lemon juice in the last rinse. If after all that doesn't help and your water isn't the problem I would definitely see a Dr.

catchup and baking soda mix on the hair for 10-30 minutes after a good shampooing. condition.

or you could try a douche. seriously. a hairstylist i know couldn't get the perm smell out of her hair and tried everything. she tried a douche ( she tried EVERYTHING already, so why not?) and it worked. she tells this story often. hey , it's only a buck at the dollar store and it can't hurt.

Oooh I used to have this issue a lengthy time period decrease back.. What I did to give up the scent replaced into shampoo and condition my hair extremely solid then i might want to enable it dry thoroughly then apply it to a severe placing. (yet I have extremely thick hair so i might want to represent putting it on a decrease placing and perhaps not use the Miracle Mist too a lot.) nicely on the prompt I straightened my hair and it smells yummy. =P

Spray a perfume or goodsmelling spray on your hair, or spary it in the air and walk into it, to fix the smell quickly.

Also, try fixing your diet. Maybe try to drink more water?

is your hair really thick and you sweat a lot in your head, it may be what you are eating and it's sweating through your scalp and being trapped by your hair, like people who eat a lot of garlic it comes through their pores. Keep it short and watch your diet.
