Why are you using straighteners to curl your hair? Use a curling iron, not a straightning iron. Just put your hair into it spiraling it up the rod, hold and releas4e. Voila! Curls! ;o)

It depends on what size your straightener is. I have a one inch so it is easy to make curls minus the kinks. The key is to start at the end of the piece you want to curl then roll it up to the roots and then twist your wrist and the iron while letting go of the handle little by little. I'm horrible at explaining but I hope I could help. Don't hold on too tight though, that's where the kinks come from.

You have to have a skinny straightener. Use it like a curling iron. Go down the hair and turn as if you were gonna curly it. Keep trying. It works for me but the curls dont last long

I curl my hair with a straightener. I love it and I have short hair I find it give a softer curl than curling irons. You just have to turn your wrist just as you get to the ends. It takes some practice but when you get used to it, it works really well.

think you are asking how to use a curling iron without getting that huge line in the middle of your curl. All you need to do is take your time and pay attention to which way you are turning the iron. if you turn it one way you will get a kink, if you turn it the other you dont. Just take your time and practice.

do you mean like were your layers stick out?
if so it's easy in stead of holding it so it is this way || (the line stands for the crack that you put your hair in) after your completly done straightening hair then start at the bottom layers and hold the straightener this way = and run down hair and have a lose grip on the straightener so it's not scuishing your hair and making unwanted kinks.
I hope that helped

while you're using the flat iron......(use a small to mid size they work best for the loose curl look).....straightned your hair then go back up the strand and curve your hand while bringing down the iron .....curve your hand movements as if it was a curling iron but the trick is continuing to curve with moving down the strand......
