Minking is a highlighting technique. You have3 or 4 colors weaved into your hair in very fine, thin sections. The result can be subtle or dramatic. It's a good way to change your hair color without using just one all over color that often has that freshly painted house look. It's a more natural look even if you use colors completely different from your own. The colors you choose generally come from the same family. For example, if you have dark brown hair you could weave in 3 or 4 lighter shades of brown or red or some combination thereof. It's quite stunning but a little time consuming and more expensive than having just 1 color weaved in.
