Hi,i am washing my hair daily with himalaya protein(herbal ...no chemicals at all) shampoo and also with himalaya protein conditioner.....Is it safe to do so????

A lot of people insist that if you shave your hair, especially when you are a baby, the new hair would be of better quality (thicker, straighter). Is there some truth to this? If yes, can anybody explain to me the logic behind this?

My hair is only slightly wavy so I can get away with straightening with a blow dryer alone, it just doesn't last or give the sleekest results, so I iron it occasionally. I like the idea that I could save time by doing it while my hair is still damp but I wonder if the wet / dry irons are really okay just because they have holes to let out steam. Has anyone used one of these? Is there really any other difference between a regular flat iron and a wet / dry one? I would like to know because I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that really is no different than the one I currently use only about once a week.

I'm black and i have thick hair and what products (shampoo, straightening irons, etc.) work best. I use a gold'nhot blowdryer with the brush attachment. I GET PERMS for all you smart alecks, but when i wash my hair at home, its never as straight as it can be when i get it done. What products work best?!?

Ok, I just dyed my hair, and it is not as light as I want it. I want to redye it so I can lighten to the color I had hoped to achieve. Honestly I did not leave it on long enough. Being that I have relaxed hair, yet healthy, is it safe to dye it again soon?

How do I straighten my hair on a regular basis without damaging it with an iron?

I would prefer something more natural (no chemicals or animal products) and not costing too much.

Everywhere we look all we see are hair weaves, hair extensions, hair pieces, bright red hair, bright pink hair, bright green hair,and on and on and on. Have you seen them?

So what is it? Do we really want to look this way?

I saw a girl with a beautiful head of dark brown hair. It was nicely cut at the nape of the neck. But right in the middle of her head, she had "extended" a Mohawk type sticking in the air "extension" (I guess that's what you call it)
which made her look like a rooster.

Then I saw another female with "extensions" all the way down her back. There were "bumps" all along the back of her head!
It looked so unreal!
She looked like a lion,
a transexual lion!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE WOMEN?
Please please tell me.

I had a perm and trim, , she cut it so short , yuk, I didn't know what to say, I know it will grow back but any ideas

I want to dye my hair a better looking shade of red than my natural color. But my mom wont let me cause my hair "is sooooo beautiful!" Its not like im dying it black or blue or BRIGHT friggen red or something! just red! I really want to dye it even though i do get comlemients on how pretty my hair is.

And also if i did convince my parents somehow, shoudl i get a dye kit, or go to a salon? I feel that im 13 and can make my own descisions. -

I have bought a chi straightner and it says it can curl, i have heard you can curl your hair with it like you would with sissors and a ribbon. Please give me more details on excatly how to do this cause when i try it, it really doesnt work well. I have seen others do this what am i doing wrong?

My sister dyed my hair at home but the peroxide was too strong and was burning my head so I had to wash it out early. Some of my hair went blonde but the rest went yellow. I went to the hairdressors to get it fixed (cost me $100) but I still have a yellow tinge to my hair. What can I do?

I died my hair a darker color than my natural color, but it's a little too maroon for my liking. In fact, it's very, VERY maroon. I died it this afternoon...is it possible to wash it out this soon after dying it? Are there any other solutions for getting rid of it other than dying it a different color?
