A lot of people insist that if you shave your hair, especially when you are a baby, the new hair would be of better quality (thicker, straighter). Is there some truth to this? If yes, can anybody explain to me the logic behind this?

No, it's an urban myth.
Hair type is a genetic trade, and no matter how much you shave it, it will always grow back in the same shape and color.
Simply trimming the ends, prevents split ends, but otherwise the hair will stay the same.

no, it's an old wives tale (myth). the only reason it seems that way is because when you shave, you're cutting the hair at a slant which makes it more visible when it starts growing out. that is why it looks like hair grows thicker after it's been shaved.

that is a proven fact.

some cultures believe that works, I don't see how it would make it straighter though, if you have curly hair it will be curly if you cut it off and grow it again, because it is the follicle that affects that isn't it?

No. Maybe it will grow stronger, and better if your current hair is damaged, or in bad condition. As for it growing stronger simply because you shave it...no. Take vitamans, and use vitaman shampoo and conditioner.

No, your hair wont strengthen back as we communicate. It relies upon on why your hair is broken to whether it relatively is going to strengthen back fit- as in if its broken now by using chemical compounds and so on or from undesirable weight loss application, drugs or malnutrition. in the adventure that your hair is merely broken by using chemical compounds and so on, it is going to strengthen back fit. no longer unavoidably shinier, because it relies upon on the colour and condition of the hair. you could desire to attempt expert hair products that incorporate proteins and organic supplementations and minerals to strengthen your hair till now you provide it the chop!! perhaps refer to a hair textile cloth wardrobe or a doctor in the adventure that your very in touch approximately it!

No. There is no truth to that. Hair is subject to your DNA and if you have curly hair it will always be curly.
