Beauty & Style - 19 August 2007

I am (a guy) taking my senior portraits tomorrow, and I am a little confused with the process of it. Are we supposed to dress casual (like a hoodie or track jacket and jeans) to take our photos? Is the photographer supposed to give me an add-on tuxedo to wear for my senior portraits? I just plan to take the yearbook poses, because I don't seem interested in the casual poses.

In addition, I have unmanagable curly hair. What I mean my unmanagable is that I CAN NOT get it the way I want it. It is not the type of hair that curls everywhere, but if I comb it straight, it is obvious it is curly. Is there any way to make my hair look the way I want it to look? (I want straight hair, preferably spikey hair).

i am 5 foot 1 and really skinny, and not once have i been able to find a pair of jeans that isnt baggy or too long! i always have to crop my jeans and i'm sick of it! where can i find jeans that fit (besides the kids section)?

Hi there!

I found a ring at Nordstrom I really like that's on clearance (there's only a few left). It has a new price sticker on top of the old one. The original price of the ring was $100 and it's new clearance price is only $30. I have been looking for a nice ring, but can't afford too heavy of a price tag at the moment (I'm a student going through college). I thought this one would be perfect. My only concern is that I'm not sure if it's good metal or not. I don't want to get a ring that will end up turning my finger green. I can't tell by looking at the sticker on the tag if it's serling silver or not, because the new tag completely covers the old one. I'm guessing that if the original price of the ring is $100 it better not turn a finger green...but I'm not sure. What do you think??

Ok, option number 1 is a black tribal armband all the way around my right arm. I've always liked it, and wanted one for years. Option number 2 is a red and black nautical star on the back of my right arm. I just recently found out about this, but it really appeals to me because of it's history and meaning. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not going to decide on anything by what answerers say, I just want a little feedback. I don't understand. That's not necessary, even though I understand that it's their freedom, choice & right. It just doesn't make sense to me to see someone with waist-long hair would wear a fake ponytail or a short wig. If they wear a short wig & they have long hair, why don't they just cut their own hair?

Every time i comb my hair, i lose a lot of it...or at least feels like it. I would do anything to have my hair grow thick and long.

I am in DIRE need of some advice for my hair. Currently my hair is just at the bottom of my shoulder blades in length. This is where I try to keep it. I get it layered and have the stylist go nuts with the thinning shears. I live in the tropics so its hot here! It weighs a ton and really gets too hot. well, I think - truthfully I haven't seen my natural hair color in about 8 years. :-(

I surf on a daily basis so my hair in always exposed to sun and sea water. The shade of blonde that I have had - forever it seems keeps turning lighter and lighter when I'm out in the sun. I don't want my hair to be too light I'm trying to tone it down - how do I counteract this problem and still have natural looking hair?
