I am in DIRE need of some advice for my hair. Currently my hair is just at the bottom of my shoulder blades in length. This is where I try to keep it. I get it layered and have the stylist go nuts with the thinning shears. I live in the tropics so its hot here! It weighs a ton and really gets too hot. Anyways my natural hair color is here http://www.ultimatelooks.com/evagaborcolors/14C%20DIRTY%20BLONDElg1.jpg
well, I think - truthfully I haven't seen my natural hair color in about 8 years. :-(
I have always went to a lighter blonde - this shade -

I surf on a daily basis so my hair in always exposed to sun and sea water. The shade of blonde that I have had - forever it seems keeps turning lighter and lighter when I'm out in the sun. I don't want my hair to be too light I'm trying to tone it down - how do I counteract this problem and still have natural looking hair?

i've worried bout the same thing. ive been getting my hair colored for more than six years now, and no matter what i do the color always lightens. exposing your hair to sun and sea water will make it lighten up more. have u tried to ease on the shampooing? how about over the counter conditioners that seal in color? it helps, but i think no matter what we do we are at the mercy of it getting lighter overtime. my solution, just recolor when it starts to look funky.

Well, don't dye your full head in blonde. Dye your hair similar to your natural color in a semi-permanent dye, and then add some bialage highlights, so that when you are out in the sun, they will lighten up and add color to your light brown-dark blonde hair.

Why should it be tragic? Just trim it!
