Why would you get a tattoo just for the sake of getting one? Start saving, decide what you really want, and then get it. Otherwise you're going to end up with something that at worst, you will regret for the rest of your life, and at best, could have been a whole lot better.

Hi there,
I would not get a tattoo for 40 pounds as it will look nasty, the best thing to do is put the money aside so then you could have a more elegant piece as it were,
I would stay away from areas like the lower back as we call tattoo's in that area "tramp stamps" as there is no original feel to them perhaps an ankle or foot tattoo as they are quite nice.
Hope this helps

I agree with AWOL & Clever_Cat.
Why get a tattoo for the sake of "getting your fix"?
Think about it instead!
My first tatoo cost £45 and it sucked!
My most recent cost £500 and its beautiful!
I always advise people to choose a design and leave it EVERYWHERE so they see it at least 20 times a day for a year before they even consider getting it done!
Remember, it's gona be on your skin for life so you have to know you want it forever!
You'd do better to save up your money and get something really good from a well known artist than spending £60 to get some cheap nasty piece of flash from your local bike mechanic/tattooist

Don't get one done until you are totally sure it is what you want. If there is something that immediately comes to mind, then look for an original image of it, or do a sketch and ask a tattoo artist to help you design it. I knew for ages before I got it done that I wanted to get a wolf tattoo, but I spent ages looking at different designs and deciding where to get it done etc. Don't just get something because you think it is cool at the time, wait until you know what you really want. I think a tattoo should be a representaion of a part of your self, think deeply, and get something which says something about you.

please don't have a tattoo just cos you need one.to be honest £40 aint gonna get you what you want anyway.maybe a couple of initials or a little silly thing which would be a waste of ink!! save a bit more & choose carefully & get something you really want.i love having tattoos & am heavily covered but i nearly always design my own so i get exactly what i want.
so my advice is wait a bit longer & get something you can show off with pride!!!!
