I want to sort out a pile of old photographs of my grandparents, parents etc., some from the 40s and 50s. When they are in some sort of order I would like to laminate them but dont know if the laminating sheets and the heat used will damage the pictures in future years. I know they will be OK when first done, but what of the future. Hope someone can help me. Thank you

I know! I know! Photoshop handles everything. But at $300-500 it's not an option. I just want the basics. I'm a newbie but still want to be able to tweak my pics.

Thanks!

Hardly ever still scenes with the camera. Appears that the camera is not grounded or still for the shootings. If you have notice for the past few months it has been like that. The camera man is taping shots that are noticibly shaky. Anyone have any idea why this is like that now and for the past few months? Didn't use to be like that!

I know we have all seen it, the low big beautiful moon just asking to be photographed. Now my question may seem stupid but whenever I go to take the picture it ends up as a small little dot on the picture and nothing to be excited about. HELP PLEASE!!!

I have a lovely photo of a friend of mine holding her baby, but her white bra strap is showing - a good amount of it, next to a red shirt. I've tried the healing brush, cloning the skin next to it and erasing the strap and cloning - but it's such a big area, it comes out obviously altered. Any suggestions on fixing such a big flaw in a pic? Thanks!

I'm a sophmore in high school and I live in the Pacific NW (washington). I'm really into photography and plan on either majoring or minoring in photography. There was a scholorship/contest for photography that was based in the NW advertised in the paper a couple years ago, but I was too young to enter, and now I can't find it. Does anyone know of either a local or an area-based scholarship contest for high schoolers?

Why are our cameras and pictures we take by default landscape (wide) and not portrait (tall)? To take a portrait picture we turn the camera.. why not the other way around? Our typing papers are portrait and our books we read are portrait, but why not the cameras?

Right now I'm in high school and hoping to become a photographer or a photojournalist. I'm not sure if this is the final career choice that I want to make because my family wants me to become a doctor or something. Anyway, Is it hard to become a photojournalist or photographer?
