I have been taking pictures for a while now, and sometimes I have doubts about my work. I need an opinion from outsiders (people whom I do not know). If you think they suck, please let me know as well! All criticism is welcome.

I should of know better but ever since I was a teenager I had great fascination about the maximum security prison a few towns over. I remember right after I got my license to drive I was doing everything road trips, back road parties and one night we drove up to the ever so creepy max security prison and hat spot lights shine on us from those huge towers. Anyway fast forward 10 or so years and I went up there during the day, hoping to get some cool shots of barb wire fences and those guard towers. I was lucky to catch a guard before he caught me. I ask him and he stated very fast "absolutely not!" Anyway I was just on some photog site which they were talking about homeland security looking for some man who took pictures of refineries.

Well all in all this got me thinking, I should have some sort of list for future reference. I have heard horror stories of people getting in this new homeland security system.

Like, a free online system? Because my paint program just messes it up and makes the whole picture black.

Every time I search online, I keep seeing all kinds of setups that seem a little unnecessary for what I want to do. My Nikon D50 doesn't have a remote flash function, but I don't want to use a SC-17 cord to attach my camera to my flash mounted on the light stand. Isn't there something simple that will attach to the flash and the camera without worrying about PC connections and whatnot?

My setup is as follows:
- Nikon D50
- Sigma EF-500 DG ST NA-iTTL hotshoe flash
- Light stand with hotshoe mount and umbrella

I know I could get a new Nikon speedlight and an SU-4, but, like I said, I don't want to spend a whole lot of money.

I don't need them to be professional I pretty much just need someone to hold the camera, I don't feel comfortable asking my friends because they have girlfriends.I just need a few photos to complete an application for an adult print modeling shoot.

And how did it make you feel? Did your partner do it, or was it professionally done? it's on my brain because it's on a tv show right now. I had it done, by a photographer friend. My man loved it, but my friends couldn't believe I did it. What are your experiences?
