You don't need a flash if there is adequate sunlight. Adjustable lenses let you open the (aperture) lens wider and let in more light.
The 'speed' of the film makes a difference too; it enables you to take pictures in less than bright sunlight. Blue eyes won't look red if you don't use a flash and there won't be a reflection on a people's eyeglasses.

If the light from the flash is too harsh then use a thin tissue or something to diffuse it a bit. If the model is getting reflections then use some make-up on her face. Don't use Aperture mode. If it's dark you'll end up with an exposure of a few seconds. I'd use Manual, 1/60s, or 1/125s, and select the aperture to suit. You'll have to experiment a bit because the flash exposure will depend on the lens you're using and how far you are from the model. The flash itself will have a Guide number that tells you the distance it can be used over at different apertures.

Definitely.

Natural light is the best way to take photos.

I try very much to use flash only when necessary - like fill-in flash when the backlight is strong. Indoors, I set my camera to the largest aperture and take photos without the flash. I just have to ask the subjects to stay perfectly still because of the slow shutter speed. And I also place the camera on a steady platform (tripod, if you have one) and use the timer to trigger the shutter to avoid camera shake. WIth this, I end up with an evenly lit and colorful foto.

If i use flash, I will lose the warm colors and the background will be rendered dark (vignetting).

Personally, pictures can look much better without a flash.

I think natural light can look fantastic if you know how to use it. I would also suggest, that with proper technique, you shouldn't be able to tell that a flash was used. Certainly with a consumer digital camera this would be hard to do, but some of the higher end models and all SLR based systems will let you control the flash output and adjust white balance which would be the two technical aspects that would make a photo appear natural regardless of whether a flash was used.

Some pics looks great without flash, but if you have people in the picture or bright sun with shadows, just use the fill flash and it will just snap your subject in your photos. If you are shooting inside where there is fluorescent lighting, you can use the night shooting mode on your camera and your color come out really good because of no flash, but you need to use a tripod because the shutter speed is very slow, but nice quality. Hope this is helpful.

Ofcourse! pictures are more good without flash than a single flash. If it is a tungston light in the room or a party light or bright or cloudy sunlight, bettr you take pics without flash. It gives a natural look to all your frames. But REMEMBER,it should not shake while taking pictures. Hold or let your hands stay somewhere on the wall or on any strong thing while taking a pic.Or use a tripod.

It really does depend on light sources. You can way different effects from different angles of light. Just remember the darker it is inside or outside the darker the image you will get. And in addition to this motion of objects that you capture, in the dark moving objects like cars you will get dragging of light within multiple frame captures, this looks cool. now in the light the same-thing done will cause blurriness. flashes can cause shadows as well, I recommend to get a good quality photo editing program always like Ulead photo express 6. I use this program and it will be easy for you to fix mess ups or things you wish not to have in the photo including how dark and how light you wish to have it look. Good luck!

well it depends on the lighting in the area and how you want the photo to turn out. there are times that photo that turn out great without the flash and there are time it didn't. you should experiment with what you want the photo to look like and see how you like it.
